About Me
My name is Bernard Villanueva. I was born and raised on the island of Maui in Hawaii. I moved to Oahu to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Computer Science, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. I have been on Oahu ever since.
My non-geek hobbies include jiu-jitsu, running, fishing, outdoorsie kind of stuff. I have been learning jiu-jitsu for about eight years now and call O2 Martial Arts Academy my home. It's fun, you should try it. My girlfriend got me into running. I have done the Great Aloha Run consecutively since 2000 and the Honolulu Marathon every year since 2005. Fishing (shore & offshore) is relaxing yet exciting, but seems like Oahu is all fished out; most of my catches consist of stupid fugus.
Geek hobbies you ask? Well, this site pretty much sums it up. Software and computers tickle my pickle. I like programming contest such as UVA Online Judge, even though I haven't gotten it to accept my 3n+1 solution yet. My dream is to one day create that piece of software that Microsoft or Google will buy the rights to it for lots and lots of $$$$$.
Until then, I will keep dreaming and post up my crazy ideas and stuff.
